Consistray ("we", "us", or "our") operates a Text-to-Speech (TTS) platform accessible at consistray.in ("Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 (SPDI Rules), and other applicable Indian law.

Account Information

Name, email address, mobile number, and password (stored in encrypted form) collected at registration.

Sensitive Personal Data or Information (SPDI)

Payment and banking details, passwords, and any biometric data are treated as sensitive under the SPDI Rules. We collect and process these only with your explicit consent and as necessary to provide the Service.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS-compliant third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card number. We retain billing address and transaction IDs for legal and accounting obligations.

Usage & Technical Data

IP address, device type, browser, pages visited, TTS requests (text submitted, voice selected, audio duration), and API call logs.

Text Content

Text submitted for conversion is processed to fulfil your request. It may be temporarily retained for service improvement unless you opt out in your account settings. We do not use submitted content for advertising.

To deliver, maintain, and improve the TTS service
To process payments and issue GST invoices as required under Indian tax law
To manage your account and authenticate your identity
To send transactional emails, usage alerts, and product updates (opt-out available)
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and illegal activity
To comply with Indian legal and regulatory obligations

Consent

By registering and using the Service, you provide free, specific, and informed consent to the collection and processing of your personal information as described in this Policy, in accordance with Rule 5 of the SPDI Rules. Disclosure of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:

Service providers (cloud hosting, Razorpay, analytics) under contractual obligations of confidentiality
Government authorities or law enforcement when required by Indian law or court order
Acquirers or successors in the event of a merger or sale of assets, with prior notice to you

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active and for up to 3 years after closure for legal and dispute resolution purposes. Financial and GST records are retained for 8 years as required under Indian tax law. Text submissions are deleted within 30 days of processing unless saved by you.

Your Rights

Data Security

We implement reasonable security practices as required under the SPDI Rules, including TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and role-based access controls. In the event of a data breach, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Data Uploads & Text Content

When you submit text for speech synthesis on Consistray, please be aware of the following:

Text you submit is processed solely to generate the requested audio output.
Uploaded text may be temporarily retained for up to 30 days to improve service quality, unless you opt out via your account settings.
We do not use your submitted text content for advertising purposes.
Generated audio files are stored for up to 21 days and then automatically deleted.
You retain full ownership of the content you upload. By submitting text, you grant Consistray a limited licence to process it only for service delivery.
Do not upload sensitive personal information, confidential business data, or content that violates our Terms of Use.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

The Company reserves the right to change this policy and our Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of significant changes to our Privacy Policy by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account or by placing a prominent notice on our site. Significant changes will go into effect 30 days following such notification. Non-material changes or clarifications will take effect immediately. You should periodically check the Site and this privacy page for updates.
